All good things must come to an end

As with all good things, the SXSW Interactive Festival drew to a close. Hoovers.com offered limos throughout the days to assist attendees travel to and from their hotels to the convention center, and then between parties. They also co-sponsored the closing night party along with Agillion at Twist. Just before heading in to the soiree, I chatted with Gary Kissiah of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP and Chris Tate of Brain Actuated Technologies. Chris is from Ithaca, NY and has developed an amazing technology that reads brain waves. He'll be utilizing this software/hardware for medical and other new uses. Gary Hoover and I spoke for a bit about world music instruments and Kevin Smokler (Central Booking.com) and I spoke for a bit about online writing. Eric Hellweg of Business 2.0 and Carl Steadman (The Industry Standard) slinked around before amusing himself with our tripod. John Dial of Flying Baby Multimedia, Stephanie Dodds of Hoovers.com and Maura Johnson and I enjoyed our refreshing cocktails, some of the yummy filling buffet and the cool music that filled the background.
