Webgrrls schmooze during e-business

As another day dawned in the city that never sleeps, the e-business
conference kicked up another day of exhibits and seminars at the
Javits Center. The 2nd day, Wednesday, December 13th, ended with a
Webgrrl's interactive panel discussion on networking. Webgrrls NYC
Director Eileen Shulock kicked off the panel with some pointers and
words of encouragement on networking. DF Consulting's Dawn
Fotopulos spoke and mentioned some of her pointers for good
networking. Networker to the Silicon Alley stars, Lori Schwab, told
guests that if you start feeling stress about going to a networking
event, just think of it as a party where you will see your friends
and meet new ones. AIM's Alexis Bonnell had lots to say on the
topic, considering her card says she's the DIVA of Marketing. My
Red Shoe's Randi Epstein took Lori and some attendees through her
"30-second Elevator Pitch" exercise. Discussion, questions and
dialogue spilled over from the panelists to the audience, and
before we knew it - the evening turned into a full-blown networking
event itself!
