The host of the night, Tornado-Insider.com VP sales and marketing - US Stephen Westerberg introduced me to LeBouef, Lamb, Greene & MacRae's Henry Kessler and the evening's sponsor VEO's Sabine Kerner. She explained how their firm helps American firms expand their business into Europe with a full range of services. Turm F's Christian Schaumann told me how he's been charged with building the NY consultancy and introduced me to MS&L's Isabell Dietz. EventMe's Dietmar Detering introduced me to his friend Arshad Ahmed. We chatted about the market and how it's now actually a more realistic business climate than before. VenCapAlley.com president Marc LoPresti was center stage of a lively bunch, including VentureHighway Securities EVP Howard Nevins, Iconixx bizdev's Melissa McKeen and Double Impact's Michael Molinoff. After chatting with IBM program manager venture investments, corporate development Jens Hassel and Litraweb.com program manager Dalila Messaoudi, I spoke briefly with The Grimaldi Group's Vincent Grimaldi and headed out into the rain once again.
