You don't know MODO!

As I hailed a cab to head uptown on Tuesday night I figured this
would be an interesting event to attend. The White Space at 523 West
37th street was home to the MODO launch party from 8pm to late
night. As I anxiously waited for the hostess to check my name off
the list, I felt my heart beat to the spins from DJ Peretz (Perry
Farrell of "Jane's Addiction" "Porno for Pyros"), A Guy Called
Gerald, Juaretsi and DJ Nasir.  I walked into a room of potential
models and rock stars, only to miss my summer cohort, a true rock
star herself and my partner-in-crime, Nicole.  Noticing the
fabulously dressed crowd, I began to speak with Brian Solomon, who
mentioned that he was doing some freelance writing for several
companies.  We began to speak about MODO and how fabulously sheek it
is designed for the fashion conscience consumer. MODO, by Scout
Electromedia, is the first portable accessory designed for city
living.  MODO receives broadcasts throughout the day of up-to-date
editorial information that tells active urbanites what's happening
in their local cities. Easy-to-use and always current, MODO is the
perfect entertainment resource for socially active people on the go.
One of the first electronic products to merge fashion, media and
technology, this pocket-sized device is available in a variety of
colors - Jupiter (bronze), Moon (pearl) and Neptune (blue). MODO is
a lifestyle-oriented device with information that offers a daily
guide to the best bars, restaurants, clubs/DJs, live music, movies,
sporting events, coffee shops, museums, shopping, and just about
everything else. MODO, available online at modo.net, will retail for
$99. MODO will be sold at Virgin Megastores and selected fashion
boutiques including DKNY and Fred Segal in New York, Los Angeles and
San Francisco.
