Tech Executive Brings Contemporary Dance to NYC
Marvin Preston,owner and president of NewMarkets, Inc., a Princeton firm providing new market development and advisory services, also serves as Executive Director of the Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance. His professional skills have helped the troupe sell tickets to their May 9 performance at City Center in New York (the first appearance by the company in three years).


 
Quantum Venture Partners Allies with Invest-UK
Quantum Venture Partners announces strategic alliance with Invest-UK, the United Kingdom's principal inward investment agency covering England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Quantum Venture Partners, a private equity firm, manages $300m from its Manhattan office. Quantum Ventures provides entrepreneurs with access to financial backing, the fund's network of industry executives, potential customers and strategic partners. In addition to private equity investments, Quantum Venture Partners has a separate Fund of Funds. The fund of funds focuses on late stage VC funds, leveraged buyouts funds, hedge funds and real estate. San Francisco's Craigslist to Run Banner Ads on Community Site
Since 1995, Craig Newmark, winner of the "Best Community" Webby Award in 2001, has kept his community site as a non-commercial, ad-free oasis. He has been serving 150 million pages and over one million pairs of eyeballs per month. "Community is nice, but it doesn't pay the bills," Samantha Gates, craigslist's new VP Marketing noted, adding, "I believe craigslist users will benefit from the highly targeted ads we plan to deliver." Banner ads will be served to each user based on their personal and demographic profiles.
