Developed by linguists at the Ministry of Culture and Communication,
approved by the French language authority, the Académie Français, they're only required to be used in official government documents.
It's unlikely they'll be used except in those instances, considering in 2009 they adopted the terms ordiphone (or terminal de poche) for smartphones!
