** Well
we're back, but we're on a limited publishing schedule. As we re-ramp and
reorganize into new and exciting directions, we'll still be offering the
newsletter as a source of information but its focus will be changing slightly
over the coming weeks and months. We hope you've been having a great summer and
enjoy your Labor Day!
** Also,
we'd like to make sure you've been properly introduced to the fabulous Danielle
Cyr. She's been an active Silicon Alley-er for a long time and has been out on
the scene and busy with events for a number of organizations. So if you see
around, be sure to say "hello" and give her the scoop!
Here's
some background on Ms. Cyr:
Danielle
Cyr is an intellectual property attorney focusing on corporate,
contracts, general business law and intellectual property licensing issues
in the converging fields of technology, music, software and the arts.
Along with her legal skills, Danielle is also well known for her networking, referrals and her volunteerism.
Danielle is the Executive Director of New York City Women in Technology
("NycWIT"; www.worldwit.org) and has produced and spoken on
technology-related panels. She is also a member of the Association of the
Bar of the City of New York and was elected to the Entertainment Committee
where she serves as the Chair of the biannual Art & Photography Exhibit (to
be held this December). She is a volunteer for the Make-a-Wish Foundation
and, in addition to planning the Fall NycWIT events, is currently in charge
of planning a "Make-a-Wish Comedy Night" to benefit the organization.
Danielle has a reputation as a networking expert and has spoken on panels
and been interviewed by both radio and newspapers regarding her networking
skills and tips. She is a "business matchmaker" and is well-known for
making business referrals and getting people interviews and jobs. Her most fulfilling introduction to date, however, was a romantic introduction for a friend which resulted in marriage.
Here's how you can contact Danielle: Danielle D. Cyr. Masur & Associates, LLC. p: 212-931-8220. dcyr@masurlaw.com. www.masurlaw.com. Please also see this link for add'l background info: http://www.masurlaw.com/attorneys_cyr.html

** And
back on the scene is our fabulous West Coast writer, Renee Bakos. She'll be
sending us reports from what the West Coast has to offer occasionally, so stay
tuned for her witty repartee as well!
Of
course, you can always email me: Courtney@pulitzer.com
with thoughts, suggestions and information you'd like to have considered to be
published.
