Barry Kluger was perhaps the one man to withstand the roller coaster
evolution of the Prodigy Services Company. A former Viacom hand, Kluger
came to Prodigy with VH-1 creator Ed Bennett in 1995, when Sears and IBM
still owned the online service. Through the company's eventual sale,
Bennett's departure, myriad restructurings, and the launch of new services
in China and Africa, Kluger has survived. But this week is Kluger's last at
Prodigy. Said Kluger, the reasons he came to Prodigy just no longer
existed. Kluger's mulling various opportunities, including consulting work,
but rumors that he's considering the PGA tour are ill founded, he assures us.
