It's all about The Deal.com

When is a plain ordinary square room not just a plain square room? When it's housing the deal.com party in the Four Seasons restaurant. The Daily Deal relaunched thedeal.com with increased channels, improved search functionality, three new e-newsletters and partnerships with Hoovers, Barnes & Noble and others. The center fountain glowed the iridescent blue of inviting pools and the room was a wash in dark blue suits. Ever the witty one, Mofo.com attorney Jonathan Perkel was retelling me his tactics to enduring the barrage of people at NYNMA's Super Cyber Suds-he began telling them they are an L2B company! (Legal to Business) Vault.com's Samer Hamadeh and Mark Oldman came over to join in the laughter and VenCapAlley.com president Marc LoPresti also stopped by for a "hello" and chuckle. Business 2.0's Jennifer Gilbert sashayed over and we got to catch up on how things have been since her AdWeek days. E-bitda president and CEO Nicolas Perkin and I spoke for a bit with The Deal's Larry Ganz and Editor in Chief Robert Teitelman. The Deal's communications director Martha Brown introduced me to McCann-Erickson's SVP, corporate communications director Susan Irwin. The Deal's president Kevin Worth conveyed some radical ideas on Silicon Alley to me, which spurred my curiosity.
